Canada have called up MLS-based attackers Marcus Caldeira (Minnesota United FC) and Theo Corbeanu (Toronto FC) for Tuesday's international friendly against the United States (8 pm ET | TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo, Peacock).

Caldeira and Corbeanu were added by head coach Jesse Marsch as replacements for Cyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan, who both dropped out of national team camp due to injury.

Monday's call-up was the first-ever for Caldeira, a 2024 MLS SuperDraft selection who has 5g/3a in 11 appearances across all competitions during his first MLS season with the Loons. The 21-year-old could make his senior CanMNT debut at Minnesota's home ground of Allianz Field.

Corbeanu, meanwhile, earns his first call-up of the Marsch era after last featuring for Les Rogues in September 2022. The 22-year-old has 8g/5a in 46 MLS games since joining Toronto ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Rivalry clash

Caldeira and Corbeanu are reporting for CanMNT duty ahead of the third and final game of the September/October window.

After victories over Chile and Peru, Canada will face arguably their biggest test of the window at Allianz Field, taking on an opponent that has reeled off three straight lopsided wins during the current window.

However, Les Rogues are undefeated against the USMNT under Marsch. First, they topped their regional rivals, 2-1, in a September 2024 friendly before repeating the same scoreline in the 2025 CONCACAF Nations League third-place match.
