Canada roster: 12 MLS players called for 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup
Canada head coach Jesse Marsch has named 12 MLS players to his 26-man roster for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup this summer, while another six featured in the league before moving abroad.
A product of the academy, Nathan Saliba joined CF Montréal's first team on December 4, 2020.
The Longueuil native made his professional debut on February 25, 2023 in the Club's season opener against Inter Miami CF.
In 2024, Saliba scored his first goal for the Bleu-blanc-noir in a 2-2 draw with the New England Revolution on September 18. He ranked 14th on 2024 MLS' 22 under 22, a list of the 22 best players under the age of 22 in MLS.
Saliba received his first call-up to the Canadian men's national team in August 2024. He played his first game on September 7 as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over the USA. He also represented his country at U15 level.
